Ho letto in rete (Trip Hop) che i Massive Attack sarebbero in studio per registrare un nuovo disco.
Il gruppo di Bristol, che ha dato vita con Portishead e Tricky al movimento trip-hop, è dal 2004 (“Danny The Dog”) che non si fa sentire con qualcosa di nuovo, dal momento che il loro ultimo lavoro è l’antologia “Collected” (2006).
Lanciato il 24 agosto scorso “Amaranth” è il secondo singolo dei Nightwish, ed è tratto dal loro sesto album Dark Passion Play, pubblicato a Settembre 2007. In soli due giorni il singolo ha raggiunto le 5.000 copie vendute, tanto da meritare un premio per l’ottimo risultato di lancio. Inutile dire che in pochissimo tempo è arrivato ai vertici delle classifiche, prima finlandesi e poi europee.
Terzo album in studio dei Linkin Park, uscito lo scorso maggio, “Minutes to Midnight” è un album dallo stile tutto nuovo per la band nata nel 1996 in California.
Innanzitutto la hit di lancio “What I’ve Done”, primo singolo estratto dall’album, non ha parti rappate, una peculiarità che ha caratterizzato il gruppo a cominciare dalla splendida “In the end” (Hybrid Theory, 2001).
Ma questo è solo l’inizio.

Si avvicina il Natale e, come ogni anno, ecco comparire le strenne proposte da artisti e case discografiche. È questo il caso di All The Best di Zucchero, album doppio che contiene 3o successi e 5 tracce inedite (quattro cover e un brano originale).
Impegnato nel tour mondiale iniziato il 3 maggio scorso a Parigi, Zucchero pubblica questo album a poco più di un anno dall’uscita di Fly, suo ultimo grande successo.
Non faccio mistero della mia passione per Ben Harper ed ho già suggerito uno dei suoi lavori, There will be a light.
Alla fine di agosto è uscito un il suo nuovo album, Lifeline, ed io mi sono presa tutta la calma necessaria per ascoltarlo e imparare a gustarlo, prima di proporlo sul blog. Anche perché avevo letto recensioni poco entusiaste e volevo farmi un’idea tutta mia.
Ebbene, questo ultimo lavoro mi è piaciuto, ma necessita di più di un ascolto.
Uscirà il 16 novembre il “best of” di Luciano Ligabue, “Ligabue – Primo tempo”. Un CD e un DVD che propongono due brani inediti a una selezione dei successi del musicista di Correggio pubblicati fra il 1990 e il 1995. Diversa la selezione di brani del disco rispetto a quella dei clip del DVD dal quale, per esempio, rimangono tagliate fuori le inedite “Niente paura”, singolo in rotazione in radio, e “Buonanotte all’Italia”.
